The only advantage of the hotel is its location

The list is long, the rooms overlooking the swimming pool very disturbing, the hotel is not available an electric adapter is simple, the waiters do not speak any language other than French, even Arabic is not a command. Upon request from room service, they ask for payment in cash. When I left the hotel I asked the employee put the invoice in an envelope and the employee refused due to unavailability!!!

      - Was not clean - Staff was not available, and you are not welcome to ask something when you need help ... - Food was not clean, and I became sick after eating a salad ... A BIG DECEPTION

    • Older travelers

I'll just tell you what I found and you can draw your own conclusions. Unfriendly staff at reception. (What is the point of a metal detector on way in?) In our room there were no towels, no soap, no pillow cases and none of these arrived quickly. The carpets outside the bathroom were horrid. We'd been exploring all over Morocco and had looked forward to some 4 star comfort but that was not to be. After shaking out the duvet, a cockroach scuttled off. Its friend was in bathroom. That night we slept in sheet bags (brought for use in Kasbahs and not needed). I didn't get my nice hot bath which was one reason for the booking; the water was on the cold side of tepid. The final nail? A man entered the room at 12:30 a.m. which gave me a bit of fright! How did he do that? The manager was unimpressed by any of my complaints except he did seem rather shocked when I told him about my visitor (not the six-legged one). Nice location though. Lovely beach. I could see that once it got hot, it would be a nice place to be, but currently it looked tatty and in serious need of an overhaul but inside and out.

      See above comments.

The Hotel Location is very interesting, the place around is full of coffee shops and resturants is very nice place to stay in ....provided that it is very secured place.

Some of the security staff interfer with your personal belonging when you came from the market or at night , justifying that it is not allowed to bring food or beverages to the hotel as such items are availble around the day and night.

      I liked the breakfast,

The service is very poor and the staff at the front desk should learn more about customer service.

The service and and hotel staff was great

The hotel needed some renovation specially the rooms

Firstly, most taxi drivers only know it as riad Salam, and this is the signage you'll see when you arrive. It's a loverly stylish hotel which could fit anywhere in the world. Many may appreciate the wc/toilet being in a separate room from the shower and basin. Lovely plush white doonas, comfy mattresses, tasteful lamps, flat screen tv. Great for a night in a new city. And two huge wardrobes should you be staying for longer. There is a very generous buffet breakfast including someone in hand to make omelettes or creeps (Moroccan style), as well as tinned fruit, boiled and scrambled eggs, sausages, a number of yoghurts and cheeses.

Firstly, make it hard to have a three person room, which could not be renegotiated on arrival (where speaking French will be more successful than English). The check in procedure keeps you waiting a while- I presume due to a lack of computers, but there's no apologies or explanations made. One rooms bathroom floor was a little tired, and given it was in a different floor to our second room, we requested a change, which occurred immediately. The morning after, there was no hot water in the whole hotel (there was no compensation or reduction in rate). It was unseasonably wet whilst we were visiting, and sadly no luck with complimentary umbrellas. October visit limited the local dinner options, as many beach clubs and terrasses seemed closed.

just it was confortable, is more like a honeymoon place away from city, but i was a solo traveller ;)

the mini bar is empty, no internet, the Spa was full always, and is too far from city!

    • Older travelers

Nothing, it is in a good location if you want beachside accommodation

The staff were really rude and indifferent, never heard of customer service. The hotel is old and tired, the in house service is non existant. It is really expensive and not good value for money.

    • Family with children

We were in this hotel in mid-September only for 1 night. We just wanted to stay at a hotel by the sea before our visit to Marrakech. Our room was clean. We didn't have dinner at the hotel. The garden was good and the sea-beach view was perfect. Everything went well. It's a good hotel.

Hotel staff in reception and concierge tried to help when we needed, but they were a bit insufficient. They spent almost half an hour to find out and advise us a good restaurant nearby. Also, the hotel attandant standing in front of the hotel was a kind of fool, he even was unable to take a taxi for us.

    • Single

Nothing as the room was in bad shape and toilet accessories were for two stars hotel. Doors and furniture were in bad shapes

      Same as above

    • Group of friends

It's great location, outside facilities - wonderful pool, relaxing outside lounges, good landscaping design.

Very very few of the staff spoke decent English, the room was not in the best condition, no Internet in the rooms.

    • Group of friends

Although the owners of Le Lido have spent much money on outside designs & appearance the rooms now seriously need to be tackled. I have stayed in Riad Salam over the years and stopped going because about 8 years ago the rooms were cold and old fashioned. Two years ago they did a makeover which included carpeting the rooms & bringing them up in standards but they did only half a job on the bathrooms. Showers blast water in all directions and perhaps because of that there are signs that water has come through ceilings and made marks or holes on ceiling plaster & decorations. Now the rooms need a re-decoration job & quick

    • Couple

The grounds were kept lovely - The pool guy was very attentive and helpful even helping with our luggage when we left. We did eat at the buffet restaurant at the hotel and thought the food was good.

The first room we were shown to had no electricity so after half an hour we were moved to another room......well, it was such a disappointment. The gounds and main lobby are kept in an excellent condition, however the rooms appear to be dated and in need of some serious attention. Our room was not clean, we had no towels and the "mini-bar" was empty. We complained at reception and received towels. The next day the room was cleaned, however not to a 4 star standard. My partner and I both commented that if they took as much care with the rooms as with the exterior it would have been a nice place to stay - sadly it was not.

    • Older travelers

Location and pool was great. Staff were atentive. Very relaxing time on the whole a good experiance.

The range of food was ok without being generous, but that was me wanting a hot breakfast which was not really available. The rooms were dated and it took four goes to get a room that was adequate the air con only just worked, but I understand their were more modern rooms but we were not catered for in this area.
